Fashion's Biggest Night Out

Arranged by Josherlyn Angelica and Kiara Andressa

The moment we’ve all been waiting for, the grand finale of the New York Fashion Week, known as ‘fashion’s biggest night out’, usually held in the first Mondays of May, except today, we welcome: The Met Gala, a fundraising costume institute. Exclusive guests step into The Metropolitan Museum with an outfit that resonates with the theme that has been set, ’In America: A Lexicon of Fashion’. Timothee Chalamet, Billie Eilish, Naomi Osaka, and Amanda Gorman have been appointed as this year’s co-chairs. Along with the co-chairs, Anna Wintour, Tom Ford, and Adam Mosseri serve as the honorary co-chairs.

Quoted from Vogue, this year’s theme celebrating American Fashion is inspired by Jesse Jackson’s speech at the 1984 Democratic National Convention, as he said, “America is not like a blanket, one piece of unbroken cloth, the same color, the same texture, the same size. America is more like a quilt: many patches, many colors, many sizes, all woven and held together by a common thread.”
