Emma Batty, a driven and passionate seventeen-year-old activist, is the guest speaker for JustBecause's first podcast. She works for Bye Bye Plastic Bags Jakarta, a non-governmental youth driven organization that aims to fight the pollution created by single-use plastic bags. As opposed to merely creating content regarding this issue, they have also taken physical action against it--whether it be by organizing clean ups or urging the government to act.

Here, we touched on productivity and time management. Nobody is immune to demotivation, which can serve as a significant obstacle to being productive, so how do we overcome it? Some tips to overcome this issue include setting a schedule and letting yourself cheat on it, letting yourself get overwhelmed, and not overestimating what you are capable of, all of which are covered in this podcast.

Besides that, this podcast also examined numerous issues--both around the world around us--such as climate change, performative activism, and Indonesia's law on job creation. We discussed some practical ways to take these problems into our own hands, to tackle them one by one and do what we can to make the world a better place.
